TEAM:

Global Technology Alliance (GTA) is an order engineering team working in collaboration within Schneider electric manufacturing plants in NAM

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

The individual in this position will utilize technical knowledge to prepare bills of material for quotation packages for various MV & LV switchgear products. The candidate will have the ability to interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications/drawings and ensure the quote is technically compatible and competitive. They will be able to communicate with Sales Engineers to determine/clarify project requirements. The candidate should be able to understand, analyze, document, and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial terms and have a working understanding of bid strategies and market conditions. Participates in order handoff process as needed to ensure proper order conversion. Embraces and fully utilizes new tools and technology to improve efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Development of quotations from material takeoff from engineered plans
  • Provides consistent, responsive, quality service to our customers
  • Build & maintain close relationships with all quotation development stakeholders
  • Keep current of new products, trends, and product development
  • Coordinate with internal Quote Support Groups to ensure schedules are met and project requirements met
  • Gather required information for quote preparation
  • Utilize product knowledge and experience to make judgment and discretionary decisions to determine what product specifications and solutions are necessary for a specific project
  • Actively participates in coordinating, analyzing, and acting upon information and feedback of customer needs, products, competition, and processes
  • Determines and suggests suitable substitute products wherever possible.
  • Download required specs, plans take-off, etc.
  • Take up stretched assignments as and when needed.
  • Should be able to work on Shift- Flexible timings support remote teams in US
  • Minimal travel may be required

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides input and market intelligence, as required.
  • Attends sales meetings and training programs, as required

Required Competencies:

  • Strong basic knowledge in electrical engineering
  • Passionate to work in a competitive environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and work as team player
  • Ability to interpret basic front elevation, one-line, and schematic drawings
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Conversant with AutoCAD

Preferred Competencies:

  • Knowledge of low voltage switchboard / switchgear tendering, design, installation, and Application
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Relays & Its function.
  • Knowledge on UL standards (UL 845, UL 508, UL 1558, UL891) is added advantage.

Qualifications - External

Qualification: BE (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) or MTech (Power Systems Engineering)

candidates who have graduated from reputed colleges/universities with a minimum of 65% or 6.8/10 CGPA.

Experience: >= 2 years Exp., Relevant experience in the field of electrical switchgear is an added advantage
