Job Description – Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Review electrical design documents including SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, and layouts
- Support re-engineering activities based on site requirements and client feedback
- Perform as-built verification and documentation updates
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Support procurement technical evaluations
- Assist with site execution and commissioning activities
- Perform load flow, short circuit and protection studies using ETAP or equivalent software
- Validate system stability and equipment sizing
- Support troubleshooting of power system issues
Electrical Systems Experience
- HV/MV/LV systems including 400 kV substations
- Medium voltage switch-gear and protection panels
- Low voltage MCCs and distribution systems
- Generators, transformers and excitation systems
- Black start and emergency power system
- Relay coordination studies
- Grid code compliance checks
- Utility and substation interface coordination
- Adherence to IEC and IEEE standards
Documentation & Workflow
- Prepare engineering reports and technical notes
- Maintain design change logs
- Work within EPC and owner engineering workflows
- Support audits and technical reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ Years experience in oil & gas or power sector projects
- Strong analytical and coordination skills
- Good communication and documentation ability
