Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems across Steel Melt Shop (SMS), Continuous Casting Machine (CCM), and Rolling Mill departments. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted electrical operations within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Steel Melt Shop (SMS)
- Maintain and monitor electrical systems related to furnaces, ladles, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure stable power supply and electrical safety during melting operations.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to reduce downtime.
Rolling Mill
- Handle electrical maintenance of rolling mill equipment and control systems.
- Attend electrical faults and ensure smooth rolling operations.
- Improve system reliability and support energy efficiency initiatives.
Continuous Casting Machine (CCM)
- Maintain electrical and control systems of CCM for continuous casting operations.
- Support inspections, testing, and upgrades of electrical components.
- Assist during shutdown maintenance and commissioning activities.
Qualifications
- BE / BTech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in steel plant electrical systems is preferred (not mandatory).
- Knowledge of motors, drives, panels, and industrial electrical equipment.
- Basic understanding of automation and control systems is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
