We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems across various building and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
Design and Planning
Develop comprehensive electrical plans, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.
Perform load calculations and ensure designs meet safety codes and project requirements.
Utilize CAD and other engineering tools to support accurate design documentation.
Supervision and Coordination
Oversee on-site installation of electrical systems, working closely with contractors, electricians, and other trades.
Ensure work is completed according to plans, on schedule, and within budget.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems.
Ensure optimal functionality and safety of all installed electrical infrastructure.
Quality Control and Inspection
Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Safety Compliance
Enforce on-site electrical safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
Educate team members on electrical safety standards and practices.
Documentation and Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of drawings, reports, testing, and inspections.
Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and audits.
Communication and Collaboration
Liaise with clients, project managers, and construction teams to provide technical guidance.
Address inquiries and resolve any issues affecting project execution.
Cost Estimation and Budget Management
Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical components of construction projects.
Monitor and manage project budgets to avoid overruns.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
Proven experience in construction-related electrical engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other electrical design software
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively
