Electrical Engineer (Mid-level Engineering Support )

Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to support the core engineering team in the design, development, and production of inflight entertainment (IFE) system peripherals for commercial aircraft.

This role is hands-on and will focus on supporting product development activities across the full product lifecycle: including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

This position is best-suited for an engineer who enjoys executing and contributing to complex projects, while continuing to develop technical depth and product knowledge.

Location

Pune, India – Occasional travel may be required.

Summary of Role Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electrical systems and products under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate directly with other engineering disciplines to deliver a full product solution
• Assist in schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium or similar tools
• Support component selection, evaluation, and qualification activities
• Assist with prototype build, bring-up, and debugging
• Execute test plans and support system-level validation and qualification testing
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues during development and production
• Generate and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, test reports, and BOMs
• Manage design configuration and CAD data version control
• Evaluate the technical aspects of Engineering Change Notices and work with production to help execute product and process changes
• Support development of product requirements and design documentation
• Work with local contract manufacturers to support builds, assist with design for manufacturability (DFM), and help ensure smooth transition into production and ongoing production sustainment
• Provide support to manufacturing to help resolve technical issues and maintain product quality
• Assist in developing test setups and production test equipment
• Interface with internal teams including production, quality, and supply chain
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and documentation

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant industry experience
• Fundamental understanding of analog and digital circuit design
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium or similar)
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• Ability to follow design guidance and execute tasks with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and external manufacturing partners

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Exposure to audio systems, noise cancellation, or electro-acoustics
• Familiarity with DC-DC converters and basic power design
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems or programming (Embedded C, Python)
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as DO-254 and DO-160
• Exposure to EMI/EMC and environmental testing
• Experience supporting products through development and into production
• Experience working with contract manufacturers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with work tracking tools, such as JIRA

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the workday. Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Must be able to communicate with other intra-company personnel. May be exposed to manufacturing conditions. Must hold drivers license.
