Primary Objective

Deliver electrical system design for assigned projects, coordinating with other disciplines, clients, and vendors to ensure safe, highquality, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor own progress and ensure deliverables align with project schedules
  • Collect and review project data and inputs
  • Prepare load lists and equipment lists
  • Perform electrical calculations including voltage drop, equipment sizing, lighting, earthing, and cable sizing
  • Develop electrical single line diagrams (SLDs) and schematic diagrams
  • Prepare cable schedules and interconnection schedules
  • Prepare specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions (RFQs)
  • Support preparation of technical bid evaluation reports and review vendor documentation
  • Provide inputs to drafting personnel for drawing preparation
  • Check drawings for quality, accuracy, and interdisciplinary interfaces
  • Generate material takeoffs (MTOs)
  • Maintain design files, calculations, and engineering records
  • Provide engineering support to Lead and Senior Electrical Engineers
  • Ensure compliance with committed schedules, quality assurance systems, design basis, applicable standards, and procedures
  • Follow safe working practices and comply with OH&S requirements
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • 7 - 10 Years of experience.
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience within the hydrocarbons or industrial sector
  • Familiarity with national and international standards such as IS, IEC, BS, OISD
  • Working knowledge of ETAP; SPEL knowledge is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently with strong coordination and communication skills
