Primary Objective
Deliver electrical system design for assigned projects, coordinating with other disciplines, clients, and vendors to ensure safe, highquality, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor own progress and ensure deliverables align with project schedules
- Collect and review project data and inputs
- Prepare load lists and equipment lists
- Perform electrical calculations including voltage drop, equipment sizing, lighting, earthing, and cable sizing
- Develop electrical single line diagrams (SLDs) and schematic diagrams
- Prepare cable schedules and interconnection schedules
- Prepare specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions (RFQs)
- Support preparation of technical bid evaluation reports and review vendor documentation
- Provide inputs to drafting personnel for drawing preparation
- Check drawings for quality, accuracy, and interdisciplinary interfaces
- Generate material takeoffs (MTOs)
- Maintain design files, calculations, and engineering records
- Provide engineering support to Lead and Senior Electrical Engineers
- Ensure compliance with committed schedules, quality assurance systems, design basis, applicable standards, and procedures
- Follow safe working practices and comply with OH&S requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 7 - 10 Years of experience.
- 3+ years of electrical design experience within the hydrocarbons or industrial sector
- Familiarity with national and international standards such as IS, IEC, BS, OISD
- Working knowledge of ETAP; SPEL knowledge is an added advantage
- Ability to work independently with strong coordination and communication skills
