Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Singapore. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in electrical design for water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective electrical solutions for industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering deliverables including datasheets, drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with project specifications, budgets, relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL studies, technical reviews, and engineering discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and recommend suitable vendors for electrical equipment and systems.
• Manage engineering change orders while meeting project schedules and stakeholder expectations.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections for MCC panels, VFDs, electrical motors, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, and Piping Engineers to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Support tender submissions, technical proposals, and cost estimation activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Electrical motors
• Motor starters
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• MCC systems
• Experience in electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Good understanding of international electrical codes and engineering standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
• Willing to travel overseas at short notice when required.
