Role Description The Electrical Engineer Estimation and Costing role is a full-time hybrid position based in Ahmedabad, with some flexibility for work from home. In this role, the engineer prepares detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and services, based on project specifications and designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing electrical drawings, assessing power distribution and system requirements, coordinating with design and project teams, and preparing technical and commercial proposals. The engineer analyzes vendor quotations, supports budgeting and pricing decisions, and ensures compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The role also involves updating cost databases, optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness, and collaborating with stakeholders to support timely project execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and practical application of electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution and Power Systems for industrial and automation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience in estimation, costing, or project engineering for industrial or automation projects is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and relevant engineering or estimation software tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup.
