Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled ELV Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role focuses on designing low-voltage systems for high-rise residential, commercial, and smart building developments. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality design solutions within BIM-enabled environments, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across various building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and coordinate building ELV systems including Fire Alarm Systems, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, and more.
- Prepare concept, schematic, design development, tender, and construction-stage deliverables.
- Develop system layouts, riser diagrams, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Perform engineering calculations, coverage analysis, and system sizing.
- Prepare technical specifications, schedules, BOQs, and design reports.
- Coordinate closely with Architecture, Structural, MEP, Fire Protection, and BIM teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and clash detection exercises.
- Support design optimization through standardization, automation, and data-driven approaches.
- Participate in BIM coordination and design quality reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 4–10 years of core ELV design experience.
- Proven experience with high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale developments.
- Experience in multidisciplinary building design coordination.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, TIA/EIA, and BICSI Standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications/Good to Have:
- Experience with BIM-enabled design workflows and smart building technologies.
- Familiarity with design automation tools and building analytics platforms.
- Exposure to IoT-enabled building systems and data-driven engineering workflows.
- Background in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality projects.
