Job Description

  • Lead prebid and postbid engineering work, including feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and energygeneration simulations.
  • Prepare and finalize BOQs for DC electrical systems across bidding and execution phases.
  • Develop detailed plant layouts such as PV array layout, earthing, trenching, illumination, HT cable routes, and equipment layouts.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, including sizing, earthing, illumination, shading analysis, SLD preparation, and system performance simulations.
  • Review and finalize technical specifications with OEMs and vendors for equipment up to 1500V.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and technical advisors to ensure compliance, optimization, and smooth execution.
  • Conduct site visits, troubleshoot design issues, and support construction and commissioning teams technically.
  • Oversee design package reviews, maintain documentation quality, and stay updated on industry standards and emerging technologies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Engineer - DC should have:

  • 3-7 years of experience in designing and engineering solar rooftop or groundmounted projects, with a strong focus on DC electrical systems.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including system design, equipment selection, sizing, and familiarity with IS/IEC codes.
  • Proficiency in relevant design tools such as PVsyst, SketchUp, Google Earth, Dialux, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with internal teams, consultants, and OEMs, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and technical accuracy.
