- Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding systems.
- Participates in one or more of the following:
- Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
- Equipment design and development
- System design, including concept sketches and layouts
- Preparation of specifications and design calculations
- Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers
- Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports
- Preparation or review of material quantity estimates
- Uses engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools
- Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepares comments recommendations.
- Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- A recognized bachelor s/master s degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 3 years.
- Site experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Manufacturing Technology projects viz. Semiconductor manufacturing, Data Centers, Battery manufacturing facilities etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials, and application of computer aided engineering (CAE)/computer aided design (CAD) tools to engineering problems.
- Experience of preparing technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions and vendor print reviews for various electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of preparation of load list, MCC schedule etc.
- Experience in various electrical layouts like grounding, raceways and lighting etc.
- Review of 3D Model using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30%, 50% and 90% Model.
- Reviews with Client, Vendor and Sub-contractors.
- Knowledge of project controls within discipline.
- Knowledge of power distribution design to meet various TIER classifications .
- Design of low voltage services like Life safety, Fire alarm, Surveillance PA system.
- Well versed with various LOD (level of development) concepts.
- Experience with subcontract management and interface design with third parties.
- Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
- Basic skill in oral and written communication.
