Responsibilities
Product / Process Convergence of the Electrical & Electronic Architecture
- Oversee the product/process convergence of the electrical and electronic architecture.
- Contribute to the design of prototype vehicles in collaboration with the E/E Prototypes team.
- Co-design the E/E architecture, including:
- E/E architecture specifications
- CAN and LIN topologies
- SDE (Electrical Synthesis and Distribution)
- SDM (Ground Distribution Synthesis)
- Oversee the deployment of the Systems Architecture:
- Multimode
- Stop and Start
- ADAS
Validation of the Electrical & Electronic Architecture
- Contribute to the validation of the electrical and electronic architecture.
- Drafting the cross-system validation plan for the EIP (Electronic Integration Platform) and vehicle integrations.
- Overseeing the implementation of the validation plan for the EIP and vehicles in collaboration with the E/E Validation Division.
- Participate in failure analyses and anomaly reports on the EIP and vehicles.
- Oversee the corrective action plan with systems engineers and parts engineers.
Vehicle Industrialisation & After-Sales Support
- Ensuring the vehicle's industrialisation in the factory and after-sales support.
- Coordinating the Launch Function Groups (LFGs) with:
- Parts managers
- Factory methods and resources managers
- Logistics
- Factory product range managers
- Preparing and formalising ECU configuration files for orphan parts.
- Ensuring the vehicle E/E definition for the relevant production run:
- Part numbers
- Hardware
- Software
- Calibration
- Configurations of the ECUs
- Analysis of vehicle faults in the factory and management of the corrective action plan.
- Delivery of input data within the Architecture scope (SDE, SDM, SEE, etc.) required by the after-sales diagnostics teams to produce APV repair work orders.
Documentation & Reporting
- Drafting of the E/E Architecture Document at each project milestone.
- Drafting of the technical convergence summary document(bi-monthly):
- Project news/highlights
- Progress on the architecture schedule
- Critical issues
- Points for monitoring
- Risks/opportunities within the Architecture scope
- Progress of E/E architecture deliverables for the next milestone
