Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Draughtsman with a strong background in electrical drafting and design for MEP projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing detailed electrical drawings and coordinating with project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical shop drawings and construction drawings for:
- Cable Tray Layouts
- Lighting and Power Layouts
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Load Calculations
- Earthing and Lightning Protection Layouts
- Fire Alarm Systems Plans, Sections, and Installation Details
- Perform cable tray sizing and electrical load calculations.
- Maintain standard electrical load distribution across circuits.
- Prepare DB (Distribution Board) loading and detail drawings.
- Develop electrical circuit diagrams as per project requirements.
- Create Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for electrical materials.
- Collaborate with engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure accurate coordination.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry and project-specific standards.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsman in a consulting or contracting firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Experience in preparing BOQs and SLDs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
