Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer with strong hands-on experience in SP3D, SmartSketch, and AutoCAD. The candidate will be responsible for developing electrical layouts and CAD drawings for FEED and detailed design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HV, LV, and ELV electrical layouts based on engineering input documents.
- Prepare layouts for:
- Substations
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Earthing
- Lighting
- Lightning protection
- Develop CAD drawings using AutoCAD, both from raster inputs and from scratch.
- Work extensively with SP3D, SmartSketch, and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate assigned engineering activities with other project disciplines.
- Convert drawings between different formats as required.
- Follow standard drawing practices, symbols, nomenclature, and drafting standards.
- Work with Xref concepts in AutoCAD.
- Ensure drawings meet project quality and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to resolve design and drafting issues.
Required Skills
- 6–12 years of relevant Electrical Design experience.
- Hands-on experience with SP3D, SmartSketch, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in electrical equipment/layout design.
- Strong knowledge of HV, LV and ELV layouts.
- Experience with Substation, SLD, Earthing, Lighting and Lightning layouts.
- Experience in Consultancy/EPC, FEED, or Detailed Design projects.
- Good understanding of electrical drawing standards, symbols, and nomenclature.
- Experience with drawing format conversion.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Xref concepts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Power Plant experience is an added advantage.
