Job Description Electrical Designer (Onshore Oil & Gas)
Position: Electrical Designer
Experience Required: 10 15+ Years

Required Software Skills
- CAD Worx Mandatory
- AutoCAD Mandatory
- Revit Added Advantage (Non-Revit candidates must be willing to learn)
- Smart Plant / other 3D platforms (Good to have)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and 3D models using CAD Worx and AutoCAD.
- Develop:
- Cable routing layouts
- Lighting layouts
- Earthing/Grounding layouts
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Electrical equipment arrangement drawings
- Support engineers in preparing complete electrical design packages for onshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Generate Material Take-Offs (MTOs), load lists, and assist with engineering calculations.
- Review, update, and maintain design documents in line with project standards.
- Work with Division 1 and Classified (Hazardous) area requirements.
- Coordinate with piping, civil, mechanical, instrumentation and other disciplines for interface requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, model reviews, clash checks, and incorporate review comments.
- Maintain drawing revisions according to the project workflow and engineering instructions.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong working proficiency in CADWorx for electrical design.
- Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Onshore Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory.
- Good understanding of electrical design codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Engineering drawings
- P&IDs
- Load lists
- Vendor documents
Added Advantages
- Experience working in Revit for electrical modeling.
- Experience with SmartPlant, E3D, S3D, or other 3D design platforms.
