Electrical Design - Navigation and Communication

Role Summary:

Responsible for the design, engineering, integration, testing, and commissioning of Ship Navigation, Communication, Surveillance, and Integrated Bridge Systems for Naval, Coast Guard, Commercial, and Offshore vessels. The role involves managing end-to-end engineering activities from concept design through vessel delivery while ensuring compliance with Classification Society Rules, IMO/SOLAS requirements, Naval Standards, and customer specifications.

Location : Pipavav , Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

·      Lead the design and integration of shipboard Navigation and Communication systems for new-build, retrofit, and modernization projects.

·      Develop and review system architecture, equipment layouts, cable routing plans, interface diagrams, and installation drawings.

·      Prepare technical specifications, design calculations, and engineering documentation.

·      Ensure seamless integration of Navigation, Communication, Combat Interface (where applicable), and Ship Automation systems.

·      Support development of General Arrangement (GA) inputs and equipment space allocation.

·      Ensure proper interface management between Navigation, Communication, Electrical, Automation, and Platform Management Systems

·      Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities onboard vessels.

·      Troubleshoot integration and operational issues during vessel trials.

Ensure successful commissioning and customer acceptance.
