Job Summary:
Electrical DesignEngineer / Electrical Schematics Engineer Specializing in the preparation of
detailed Control and Protec on (C&P) schematics for the role is focused on the Low Voltage (LV) SecondarySystems designteam, utilizing advanced electricalE Basesoftware.
Candidates must possess significant experience inelectrical design, particularly within thepower transmissionor substation automation domain. Proficiency in CAE tools, especiallyEngineeringBase (Ebase), and a strong understanding of transformer protection principles are mandatory
Key Responsibilities
- TheElectrical DesignEngineer Will be responsible for translating high-levelsystem requirementsinto detailed LV schematics for HVDC control and protection systems, including transformers Protection Cubicle, switchgear, Marshalling, distribution Board, AC Yard , Ac protection , Control &monitoringCubicle Control & Protection panels
- UtilizeEngineeringBase software to design electrical control and protection cubicles electrical schematics, including elementary diagrams, panel layouts, general arrangement drawings (GA), terminalblock diagrams, andwiring diagramsbased onproject requirementsand specifications with industry standards andclient requirements.
- Ensure all designs conform to projecttechnical specifications, industry standards (e.g., IEC/ANSI), and internalquality procedures.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and integrate technical requirements into the cubicle design.
- AnalyzingProtec on Relays(IEDs) used in HVDC substations (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE), & integrate their specific configuration data into schematics.
- Perform thorough self-checking and peer reviews of schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications, national/international standards (e.g.,IEC 61850principles), andsafety regulations.
- Develop comprehensivetechnical specificationsfor the cubicle's design and the materials used in its construction
- Clear understanding on the different Electrical component & its usage to utilize in the schematics
- Well aware of the latest Electrical materials in the market to utilize & optimize the design
- Support the manufacturing and installation teams during the production and assembly phases.
Work Experience (Must)
- Bachelor's degree inelectrical engineeringor related field.
- Proven experience (4-8 years) in designing, developing, and implementing low voltage secondary systems forpower distributionapplications.
- Proven experience usingEngineeringBase (Ebase) for the entire schematic lifecycle, including multi-user environments.
- Ability to create, manage, and maintain theEbasedatabase structure and catalogue creation for components, ensuringdata integrityand standardization.
- Expertise in automatic and manual generation of comprehensive wiring lists, terminal plans, cable schedules, and bills of materials (BOMs) directly fromEbasedata
- Strong working knowledge of variousProtec on Relays(IEDs) used in HVDC substations (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE)
- Strong understanding of electrical principles,power distributionfundamentals, and low voltage equipment.
- Expertise in preparing comprehensive, compliant, and optimized schematics for HVDC control, interlocking, metering, and protection cubicles.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA.
- Project management skillsand the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
