Electrical Design Engineer

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design electrical control systems, circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and layouts for textile machineries using CAD software

• Perform electrical analysis, including circuit design, power distribution, load analysis and fault detection to ensure the efficiency and safety of systems

• Ensure proper integration of electrical components with mechanical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, HMI in textile machinery

• Develop prototypes and conduct testing of electrical systems to ensure performance, reliability and compliance with safety standards

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, specifications and electrical drawings

• Optimize designs for cost, performance and reliability

• Standardize electrical designs across product lines

• Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the manufacturing and installation phases

• Assist in project planning and managing the execution of electrical design projects, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to

• Work closely with purchase, production, manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth implementation of designs

• Coordinate with the R&D team to develop new technology and integrate it into machine designs

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in textile machinery and incorporate them into designs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's / Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering

• A Master's degree or additional certifications is a plus

• Proven experience of 3-4+ years in electrical design and development, preferably in textile machinery or similar manufacturing industries

• Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD)

• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA systems

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls and power distribution

• Understanding of industrial control systems and automation

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
