Electrical Design Engineer

Summary:

The Er./Sr. Engineer – Electrical Design will be responsible for carrying out the design of AC generator by coordinating with the team & drive the project. Understand, analyse and coordinate with project team members to drive the project & coordinate with cross function teams to bring design for, Sourcing, Manufacture, Assembly, Quality, Maintenance, Reliability and cost.

Core Responsibilities:

To work independently and carryout electrical design calculations

To create electrical drawings, schematics and BOM

To understand the customer specification requirement and select/build the suitable generators

To create specification for material, process, testing, installation and maintaining of the product.

To work on cost reduction and VAVE of the product

To support Sourcing, MED, Production, QA, customer support

Key deliverables:

• To deliver on time, error free electrical concepts, model, design, drawings, BOM, E-specs etc.,
• Cost optimization through VAVE principles
• Standardizing and improving productivity of engineering outputs
• To study relevant customer requirements / queries & order requisites for manufacturing
• Coordinate for proto developments & validation

Essentials:

Independently working the Electrical design & development of rotating electrical machines of size 5kVA to 15,000kVA. Shall have hands on experience in electrical design using tools & analytical calculations in project / NPD designs.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma/bachelor's in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 6+ years for diploma and 3+ years for BE of relevant experience with good list of accomplishments.
• Hands on with the electromagnetic design of rotating electrical machines
• Excellent Computer and presentation skills.
• Work exposure in matrix organization reporting.
• Language(s) & level: Fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada.

Core Competencies: (Technical / Software skills)

• Shall possess knowledge of electrical basics, electromagnetism/circuits, electrical materials
• Product experience from Rotating machines manufacturing industries.
• Shall have good knowledge on testing of electrical machines
• MS office
• Knowledge of ERP and drawing database

• Shall possess knowledge of electrical engineering basics and understand design of rotating electrical machines, their specifications and applications in various industries.
• Shall possess good knowledge of materials and its application
• Shall be good in electrical design tools and circuit principles.
• Shall possess good knowledge electrical parameters, winding, national/international standards applicable to rotating electrical machines.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, commercial, and project management, to develop comprehensive proposals and manage risks
