About the Role

Capstone Building Services LLP is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in MEP design consultancy. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical system design, preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and coordination with other disciplines to deliver efficient and compliant building services designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts and schematics for building projects.
• Carry out electrical load calculations, power distribution planning and cable sizing.
• Design and coordinate lighting, power distribution, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, cable schedules and other design documentation.
• Develop lighting layouts and perform illumination calculations as required.
• Coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, PHE, Fire, Architecture and Civil teams to resolve design clashes and interface issues.
• Review drawings and incorporate comments from clients, consultants and project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, codes and project specifications.
• Assist with site visits, technical clarifications and coordination with site teams whenever required.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in an MEP consultancy.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Working knowledge of electrical design calculations, power distribution systems and relevant standards.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.

Preferred

• Candidates currently residing in Tamil Nadu.
• Experience in commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, hotels, residential projects or other building services projects.
• Familiarity with applicable Indian electrical standards and building codes.
