Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Cost Estimation Engineer responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, tender submissions, and project budgets for electrical and MEP projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, material costing, quantity take-offs, and tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs for electrical projects.
- Analyze project requirements and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors for cost comparison.
- Prepare tender documents, bid submissions, and commercial proposals.
- Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of tenders.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for accurate estimations.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Prepare project budgets and monitor estimated versus actual costs.
- Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records.
- Assist in contract review and project handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in electrical cost estimation, tendering, and quantity surveying.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, LT/HT panels, lighting, power distribution, and MEP services.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
