Electrical CAD Engineer

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

• The Electrical CAD Engineer supports Electrical Design and Senior Electrical Engineers by producing accurate electrical drawings and models for modular buildings and critical infrastructure projects.
• The role focuses on CAD execution and documentation quality and does not include design ownership or customer-facing responsibilities.
• Prepares electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable routing drawings, and schedules using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develops and maintains AutoCAD and Revit electrical models ensuring compliance with internal drafting and BIM standards.
• Coordinates with BIM, mechanical, structural, and controls teams for multi-discipline coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable routing drawings, and schedules
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Revit electrical models
• Implement redlines and design changes provided by engineers
• Ensure drawings comply with internal drafting and BIM standards
• Coordinate with BIM, mechanical, structural, and controls teams
• Support document package preparation and version control
• Communicates with stakeholders in North America, India, EMEA or Australia based on project & time overlap.
• Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
• Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
• Reporting project status to Lead Engineer
• Verification of drawing quality and adherence to company standards

AUTHORIZATIONS

• Review of outsourced CAD/drafting documentation with support of lead electrical engineer
• Approve or reject drawing revisions from subcontractors with support of lead electrical engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education - B.E/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 1-2 years of experience in electrical CAD or drafting
• English language - Fluent
• Software - AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office
• Soft skills: attention to details, problem solving, organization, teamwork, flexible, hard working
