ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced E/E engineer to develop, assess, and maintain 12V electrical systems and physical EE architecture across vehicle subsystems. The role focuses on schematic development, power distribution, grounding, and network topology at system and subsystem level.
This role is suited for candidates with less than 8 years of relevant work experience in automotive electrical systems. The position is ideal for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise within a collaborative engineering environment. Please note that this is not a lead or supervisory role.
The engineer will work hands‑on with Capital (Capital Logic) and PREEvision to deliver release‑quality artefacts. Close collaboration with wiring harness, E/E architecture, validation, and supplier teams is a core part of this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain 12V electrical schematics, including power distribution, grounding, fusing, relays, loads, and protection concepts
• Perform component‑wise device transmittal, including BOM/device lists, signal and pin mapping, revisions, and release packs
• Create and validate network topology diagrams (CAN, LIN, Ethernet where applicable), focusing on physical connections, nodes, gateways, and interfaces
• Conduct subsystem‑level assessment of physical EE architecture, covering interfaces, electrical loads, protection strategies, diagnostics, and redundancy assumptions
• Ensure compliance with internal EE design rules, standards, and change management processes
• Collaborate with wiring harness teams on connectivity definition, splices, grounding points, and packaging constraints
• Interface with suppliers and OEM stakeholders for schematic reviews, technical alignment, and release readiness
• Support system integration, vehicle bring‑up, fault tracing, and issue resolution related to 12V energy and power distribution
• Maintain traceability between requirements, architecture, schematics, device transmittals, and releases
• Prepare and review release‑quality documentation, including schematics, topology views, and transmittal packs
• Document design decisions, assumptions, and constraints, including interface control documents (ICDs) where applicable
• Support EE change impact analysis and implementation across development phases
REQUIRED SKILLS (MUST‑HAVE)
• Strong experience with 12V automotive electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, protection, and load management
• Proven expertise in schematic creation, review, and maintenance for automotive EE systems
• Hands‑on experience with Capital (Capital Logic) for logical and physical schematics, connectivity, and rules/checks (as applicable)
• Hands‑on experience with PREEvision for EE architecture, topology, and schematic‑related workflows (as applicable)
• Solid understanding of automotive network topologies (CAN, LIN, basic Ethernet concepts) and topology documentation
• Experience in subsystem‑level EE architecture assessment and interface analysis
• Ability to produce release‑quality documentation and device transmittal packages
• Strong root cause analysis and debugging mindset for electrical and integration issues
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional and supplier collaboration
PREFERRED / NICE‑TO‑HAVE
• Awareness of high‑voltage (HV) systems and interaction with 12V networks
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics (UDS concepts, DTCs, fault handling basics)
• Exposure to FMEA / FTA or similar reliability and safety analysis methods
• Experience with OEM documentation practices, engineering gateways, and design reviews
• Familiarity with ISO / ASPICE‑aligned development processes
• Understanding of EE change control across vehicle development phases
