Job Title : EHS Officer

Organization : Siemens Energy India Limited

Job Family : Real Estate

Qualification:

  • B.Sc./BE/Dip. Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • EHS related qualifications such as ADIS, Certified First Aider & Fire Fighter, NEBOSH, etc.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 yrs of relevant EHS work experience, ideally working in a factory set up and civil projects.
  • Experience in facility management and project management.
  • Hands-on experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems in both greenfield and brownfield settings.

Responsibilities:

EHS is our license to work and this role plays the most critical part in ensuring the same

  • Execute, development/implementation/ maintenance of environmental and safety management systems.
  • MIS reporting - Prepare, compile EHS KPI data, safety registers, training records, manpower data, site progress, leading/lagging indicators etc.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day implementation of the site safety, industrial hygiene and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement site-specific EHS plan and implement at site/work area.
  • Ensure adherence to SEILs CTSH parameters at the ground level and monitor the same.
  • Develop technical documents including EHS procedures, training programs, and guidance documents, including maintenance of files and follow-up.
  • Understand the site emergency evacuation plan and ensure regular training of the team for proper adherence.
  • Prepare site/job specific Risk assessment jointly with Integrated Facility Management, Contractors and Project Managers.
  • Inspection and ensuring all Labour & EHS related statutory compliance at site along with the necessary legal documentation in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Organising safety audits / assessments to evaluate compliance to regulations and facility safety & environmental policies & procedures.
  • Conduct site evaluations/vendor evaluations, incident investigations and report preparation along with proper CAPA in place.
  • Support team in external audits and implementation of observations.
  • Actively participate and drive the EHS events, initiatives and programmes at site.
  • Educating the team on all EHS Requirements and ensuring the compliances.
  • Knowledge on MS Office and Good Presentation and Communication Skills.
  • Monitoring environmental related parameters and work on ESG in qualitative & quantitative manner as well to assist in achieving in organizations goals towards sustainability.
