Job Description

Responsibilities

EHS Operations & Plant Management

  • Execute operation and maintenance of ETP, STP, MEE, ATFD, RO Plant, UF/NF systems, crystallization units, natural evaporators, cooling towers, and recovery plants
  • Oversee primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment systems
  • Ensure zero discharge of treated effluent and proper hazardous waste disposal through authorized agencies
  • Commissioning experience in ETP/STP (Greenfield & Brownfield projects)
  • Maintain inventory of ETP and laboratory chemicals
  • Conduct ambient air monitoring, flue gas emission, stack emission, and workplace monitoring

Regulatory & Legal Compliance

  • Ensure 100% statutory compliance with DISH, GPCB, MOEF, GIDC, PESO and other authorities
  • Manage NOC, CCA, EC applications, Fire NOC, PESO approvals, and confined space approvals
  • Submit Form IV (Hazardous Waste Return), Form V (Environment Statement), Biomedical Waste Return, Form D2 (Monthly Patrak) and Environment Audit reports
  • Manage six-monthly EC/CCA compliance submissions
  • Handle new applications and renewals for Consent to Establish and Consolidated Consent & Authorization

Process Safety Management

  • Lead HAZOP, HIRA, PHA, QRA studies
  • Implement MOC, PSSR, JSA compliance
  • Drive mechanical integrity and storage safety programs
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), incident investigation and prevention
  • Develop and update safety manuals and project safety plans

EHS Audits & Surveillance

  • Plan and conduct internal statutory safety audits, dyke audits, fire audits, and work permit audits
  • Coordinate third-party statutory audits and IMS audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Facilitate customer audits, RC audits, TFS carbon footprint audits
  • Track audit observations and ensure closure with HODs

Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Maintain fire and emergency equipment systems
  • Conduct mock drills, fire drills, and truncated drills
  • Update and implement Onsite Emergency Plan
  • Train and maintain Emergency Response Team (ERT) readiness

Work Permit System

  • Implement and audit work permit system
  • Train employees and contractors
  • Ensure full compliance across departments

Employee Engagement & Safety Culture

  • Promote near-miss reporting and safety walk-through rounds
  • Conduct Safety Committee Meetings (CSCM, DSCM)
  • Lead National Safety Week, World Environment Day, and Fire Day initiatives
  • Provide platform for reporting unsafe acts and unsafe conditions

Training & Development

  • Prepare annual training matrix and calendar
  • Ensure minimum 2 man-days training per employee per year
  • Conduct PPE compliance training and ensure quality PPE availability
