To lead and manage all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) functions at the construction site, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company safety policies. The role focuses on preventing accidents, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting a strong safety culture across all construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Project EHS Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under relevant laws (Factory Act, BOCW Act, Environmental norms, etc.).
- Conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) for activities.
- Approve Method Statements and ensure safety provisions are incorporated.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
- Monitor high-risk activities like heavy lifting, launching gantry operation, traffic diversion works, and night works.
- Ensure zero fatality and minimum Lost Time Injury (LTI) targets.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Maintain accident statistics and prepare monthly safety reports.
