We are looking for a skilled SAP Product Compliance / Product Safety (formerly EHS / EHSM) ABAP Developer to design, build, and enhance the corresponding S/4HANA module. In this role, you will leverage your deep ABAP expertise to develop customized solutions using BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and specialized function modules tailored to the SAP EHS landscape. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring reliable, high-performance system operations.
Your tasks
- Designing, developing, and enhancing SAP Product Compliance / Product Safety (EHS/EHSM) solutions in S/4HANA
- Developing custom ABAP programs, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and function modules
- Integrating SAP EHS with other SAP modules and external systems using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and web services
- Troubleshooting technical issues and performing advanced debugging
- Optimizing system performance and ensuring stable system operations
- Supporting change management and technical monitoring activities (including SolMan if applicable)
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in SAP Product Safety/ Product Compliance modules, including Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Substances, Safety Data Sheets, etc.
- Proficiency in ABAP development, including enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and SAP EHS-specific function modules
- Previous work with integration and interface development (IDocs, RFCs, web services)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with focus on performance optimization
- Experience working with S/4HANA environments
- Good understanding of SAP EHS processes and data structures
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP Fiori
- Previous work with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)
- Experience with PSS Web
