About the Role

We are seeking a highly empathetic, detail-oriented Admissions Counselor to guide students through the complete journey of applying to U.S. undergraduate, master's, and MBA programs. This role blends strategic profile evaluation, personalized mentorship, and hands-on application support to help applicants present their strongest possible candidacy.

You will work directly with students and families to assess academic and extracurricular strengths, craft individualized admission strategies, and ensure every applicant receives end-to-end guidancefrom school selection to final submission.

Key Responsibilities

Profile Evaluation & Strategy

  • Conduct detailed assessments of student academic records, extracurriculars, achievements, and goals.
  • Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across academic and professional dimensions.
  • Develop personalized roadmap and timelines for each applicant.

Profile Development & Mentorship

  • Guide applicants to strengthen their profiles through coursework, internships, research, volunteering, projects, competitions, and leadership activities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to help students articulate their narrative and long-term goals.
  • Support development of rsums, portfolios, LinkedIn profiles, and professional positioning.

University Selection & Application Planning

  • Recommend best-fit universities for Undergraduate, MS/MEng, STEM, Business Analytics, and MBA programs in the U.S.
  • Create balanced college lists (reach, match, safety) aligned with student goals, budget, and admissibility.
  • Advise on standardized testing (SAT/ACT/GMAT/GRE), prerequisite requirements, and academic planning.

Application Support & Execution

  • Guide students through essays, statements of purpose, diversity statements, and scholarship applications.
  • Review and refine application materials to ensure clarity, impact, and alignment with program expectations.
  • Support preparation for interviews, video essays, and admissions assessments.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular communication with students and parents to ensure milestone completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery across all touchpoints.
  • Track progress and maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience in admissions counseling, education consulting, or U.S. university application support.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. undergrad, master's, and MBA admissions criteria.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to mentor students and build trust with families.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple applicants simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred; U.S. education background is a plus.
