Job Summary
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the academic program of the school. The role ensures effective curriculum delivery, teacher performance enhancement, and overall academic excellence in alignment with school policies and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor the academic curriculum and yearly academic calendar
- Coordinate with teachers to ensure syllabus completion and lesson planning
- Observe classrooms and provide academic feedback and mentoring to teachers
- Support teachers in adopting innovative teaching methods and assessments
- Conduct academic meetings, training sessions, and workshops for faculty
- Monitor student academic progress and recommend improvement strategies
- Ensure implementation of school policies, CBSE/ICSE/State Board guidelines (as applicable)
- Coordinate exams, assessments, report cards, and academic documentation
- Address academic concerns of parents, students, and teachers
- Collaborate with the Principal/Management for academic planning and improvements
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's Degree / B.Ed / M.Ed preferred
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and pedagogy
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor teachers and manage academic teams
- Proficiency in MS Office, school ERP, and academic reporting
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience as Academic Coordinator / Senior Teacher / Head of Department
- Exposure to school accreditation or inspection processes
- Student-centric and quality-focused mindset
