Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for an Education Counsellor specializing in study-abroad opportunities. The Education Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students through the entire process of pursuing education abroad. This includes conducting student counseling sessions, assisting with educational and career planning, evaluating students profiles, suggesting suitable universities, and aiding in application and visa processes. The individual will work closely with students to address their queries, provide ongoing support, and help them achieve their study-abroad goals.

Qualifications

• Counsel students on study abroad opportunities based on their academic background, career goals, and budget
• Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions (in-person, phone, and virtual)
• Guide students through course selection, university shortlisting, and country options
• Explain admission requirements, application timelines, and documentation
• Coordinate with the applications, loans, and visa teams for seamless processing
• Follow up with prospective students and convert leads into enrollments
• Maintain accurate student data and follow-ups using CRM / internal systems
• Participate in seminars, webinars, and student outreach activities
• Stay updated on university requirements, scholarships, and visa rules

Requirements:

• 13 years of experience as an Education Counsellor / Study Abroad Consultant
• Strong knowledge of study destinations (UK, USA, Europe preferred)
• Excellent communication & counselling skills
• Ability to handle students and parents with confidence and empathy
• Target-oriented mindset with strong follow-up skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced consultancy environment
• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred but not mandatory)
