EDM Operator

Job Overview

Riddhi Machine Tool Technology is looking for a skilled EDM Operator to operate and maintain Wire EDM / EDM machines used in the manufacturing of precision cutting tools. The role requires attention to detail, understanding of tool drawings, and maintaining high accuracy in machining processes.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Wire EDM / EDM machines for precision machining of tool components.

Set up jobs as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Perform machine setup, electrode alignment, and parameter adjustments.

Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges).

Maintain production records and ensure quality standards are met.

Follow safety procedures and shop floor protocols.

Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

13 years of experience operating EDM or Wire EDM machines (preferred).

Ability to read technical drawings and tool geometries.

Basic knowledge of precision machining and tooling processes.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

Willingness to work in production shifts if required.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with tool manufacturing or carbide tools.

Familiarity with CNC machining environments.

Knowledge of precision measurement instruments.
