Editorial Board Member

The Checkup is looking for doctors who love writing, reading, and sharing ideas to join our Editorial Board.

If you're a doctor who has always enjoyed writing, whether that's putting your thoughts into words, explaining complex medical topics, reviewing articles, or simply having conversations around healthcare, this could be an opportunity for you to explore that interest alongside your medical practice.

As a member of The Checkup's Editorial Board, you'll be part of a growing community of doctors and contributors working together to create thoughtful, relevant, and accessible health content.

As an Editorial Board member, your involvement will include:

• Writing articles for The Checkup's monthly issues, with an expectation of contributing a couple of articles every few months.
• Editing and reviewing articles when required, helping ensure that the content is accurate, well-written, and meaningful to our readers.
• Sharing ideas and perspectives based on your medical experience and interests.
• Connecting with new authors and other contributors who are passionate about healthcare and writing.
• Interacting with experienced doctors and becoming part of a community that encourages knowledge-sharing and meaningful conversations around healthcare.
• Contributing to the editorial process and helping shape the kind of health stories and perspectives we bring to our readers.
  

We're looking for doctors from different age groups and backgrounds who:

• Enjoy writing, reading, editing, or reviewing content.
• Have an interest in healthcare communication and sharing medical knowledge.
• Are willing to contribute their time and expertise to The Checkup.
• Can commit to writing occasionally and helping with editing when needed.
• Enjoy being part of a collaborative community.
  

This is a voluntary, unpaid Editorial Board position. The commitment is intentionally manageable alongside your professional responsibilities.

We ask our editors to dedicate a little of their time to The Checkup, contribute a couple of articles every few months, and assist with editing or reviewing when we reach out.

This is a chance to write beyond your clinical work, share your perspective with a wider audience, and connect with other doctors and writers.

You'll have the opportunity to interact with experienced doctors, discover new authors, exchange ideas, and become part of a community that is passionate about making healthcare conversations more engaging and accessible.
