About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Editor with experience in the entertainment industry, especially in US TV soaps/serials, shows, and entertainment content. The ideal candidate should have strong editorial judgment, research capabilities, and the ability to manage and guide the content team while maintaining quality and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, proofread, and publish entertainment-related content with high accuracy and quality.
- Handle and manage a team of writers/content creators focused on soap operas, US TV shows and celebrity news, OTT content, and entertainment updates.
- Write and edit entertainment news articles, features, and trending stories.
- Experience in script writing for entertainment-based content, video scripts, or show recaps.
- Ensure content follows editorial guidelines, tone, and publishing standards.
- Conduct in-depth research on entertainment trends, TV shows, celebrities, and industry updates.
- Create engaging headlines, summaries, and story angles for audience engagement.
- Coordinate with writers and provide feedback to improve content quality Fact-check information and ensure authenticity before publication.
- Stay updated with ongoing entertainment trends and audience interests.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in editorial/content editing within the entertainment genre.
- Strong understanding of US TV soaps, shows, entertainment news, OTT content, and celebrity culture.
- Experience in news writing and script writing is mandatory.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
- Experience handling or mentoring a content team.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and manage deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows is a plus.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify trending entertainment topics quickly.
- Knowledge of SEO content optimization is an advantage.
