What You Will Do:

  • Edit articles, blog posts, research reports, and other written content created by Content Analysts, Writers, and Researchers. Edit for overall writing quality, flow, and tone to ensure it is consistent with our brand and audience, as well as for sentence structure, accuracy and grammar/punctuation.
  • Edit long-form content of approximately 1,500 word articles primarily focusing on topics related to SaaS based products based on their features, pricing, etc.
  • Partner with writing, SEO, and marketing teams to create compelling content for our audiences across our buyer and vendor-facing brands (Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp, and Gartner Digital Markets).
  • Ensure all written content adheres to our in-house style guide, tone and voice guidelines, and research and quality standards.
  • Push the team to write content that is conversational and engaging. Even though we cover complex technological concepts, the content needs to be easily consumable, understandable, and actionable for our readers.
  • Proactively identify common issues in content that detract from quality, consistency, or accuracy and provide feedback in a clear, constructive, and collaborative way to ensure mistakes are not repeated. Look for ways to continually increase the quality of all written content. Participate in review sessions with content authors to deliver constructive feedback.
  • Leverage generative AI to increase speed and efficiency without sacrificing quality.
  • Proactively search for solutions to common bottlenecks to increase overall content production efficiency.
  • Develop a deep and wide understanding about the business software and technology space in order to be able to verify and challenge the assumptions and opinions in content.
  • Assist with uploading and publishing edited content on our blog, as needed.
  • Demonstrate complete ownership of assignments with exceptional time and task management.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience editing technical web contentpreferably a mix of in-depth research reports, news articles, and blog posts
  • Experience working with various writers/writing styles
  • Experience working with non-native English-speaking writers
  • Strong writing and exceptional proofreading skills
  • Experience editing content about software and or/digital content marketing experience is a plus
  • Ability to provide feedback to writers in a constructive and collaborative way
