ED Facility Coders- Bangalore

Description

We are seeking an experienced ED Facility Coder to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically within the emergency department, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of medical records.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze emergency department medical records for accurate coding.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and quality assurance.
• Stay updated with coding updates and changes in regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in the emergency department setting.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is preferred.
