We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and Connectivity control units. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical design across the product lifecycle, leveraging strong engineering fundamentals and collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Design & Development for ADAS/Connectivity:Perform mechanical design forADAS and Connectivity control units, including Proof of Concept (PoC) development
Customer / adaptation projectsDevelop and create detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and contours, collaborating closely with hardware, layout, and development teams.Apply strong engineering fundamentals, analytical skills, and knowledge of mechanics, simulation, and reliability in all design activities.Utilize New Product Development (NPD) principles throughout the design process, from concept to production.Technical Expertise & Tools:Proficiently useCreofor 3D modeling and design.Apply expertise inGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)for manufacturing and assembly.Demonstrate good knowledge in one or more material groups: Sheet metal, Die cast, and Plastics.ConductDesign for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM).SupportPDM (Product Data Management)andECR (Engineering Change Request)activities.Offer drawingCollaboration & Quality:Coordinate with interdisciplinary and multi-cultural teams across the entire product lifecycle.Perform engineering risk assessment and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.Contribute to the complete product life cycle management, ensuring quality and manufacturability.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in mechanical design and development, specifically forADAS or Connectivity control units.Strong Engineering fundamentals and Analytical skills.Proficiency in Creo, PDM, and SAP.Expertise in GD&T.Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) processes.Understanding of mechanics, simulation, and product reliability.Experience with DFA, DFM, DFMEA, DRBFM methodologies.Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, multi-functional teams.Desired Qualifications (Added Advantage):Working knowledge and experience inADAS component / sensor integration and mounting assessment.Experience inbracket design and development (e.g., for ADAS cameras, radars, etc.)for products.Knowledge in Tool Design (plastic injection molding, stampings, die casting, jigs and fixtures).Experience with BOM creation in SAP.
