About the Role

As an Economics & Policy Research Annotator, you will contribute to the development of advanced AI systems by analyzing, annotating, and validating economics and public policy content. This role focuses on evaluating the accuracy, reasoning quality, and real-world relevance of AI-generated outputs related to economic theory, empirical analysis, public policy design, and regulatory frameworks. You will apply rigorous economic thinking and policy analysis to help train research-grade language models that support evidence-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review economic and policy content for accuracy and validity
• Annotate and label economics and public policy questions, analyses, summaries, and recommendations for AI training and evaluation.
• Review and validate AI-generated content involving microeconomics, macroeconomics, development economics, public finance, and international economics.
• Assess policy analyses for logical consistency, economic soundness, data interpretation, and alignment with established theory and evidence
• Identify and tag errors related to assumptions, causal reasoning, statistical misuse, or misinterpretation of economic indicators.
• Ensure annotations reflect neutrality, objectivity, and clarity, especially for sensitive or high-impact policy topics.

Skills & Experience Required

• BA/MA in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or similar
• Research internship or project experience preferred
• Strong understanding of causal reasoning, empirical methods, and data literacy
• Ability to evaluate policy claims and economic frameworks
• Excellent critical thinking and interpretation skills
• strong with empirical reasoning, official sources, and impact evaluation.
