Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Economics & Policy Research Annotator (Freelancer) to support our AI data and research initiatives. This role involves analyzing, interpreting, and structuring economics and public policy content into high-quality datasets that power AI models and research use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and annotate economics and public policy content (articles, reports, datasets)
- Interpret macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts for structured data creation
- Extract, label, and categorize key insights from policy documents and research papers
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of annotated datasets
- Stay updated on economic trends, policy changes, and global developments
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine annotation guidelines and workflows
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in economics research, public policy, or related fields
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and policy frameworks
- Ability to read and interpret research papers, government reports, and data
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setup
Good to Have:
- Background in Economics, Public Policy, or related disciplines
- Experience with research tools/databases (World Bank, IMF, etc.)
- Familiarity with data annotation, qualitative research, or content tagging
- Basic Excel or data handling skills
