Role Overview
We are looking for an E-commerce Operations & Category Management Specialist to own the day-to-day operational backbone of our ecommerce business. This role is responsible for managing product categories, inventory availability, order processing, shipping coordination, and delivery performance across channels.
The role sits at the intersection of operations, supply chain, and ecommerce execution, ensuring that customers experience accurate product listings, on-time deliveries, and consistent service quality.
Key Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for managing and maintaining ecommerce product categories, ensuring accurate product data, pricing, variants, descriptions, and availability across the website and marketplaces if applicable. This includes coordinating with internal teams to onboard new products, update catalog information, and manage lifecycle changes.
The candidate will oversee order management end-to-end, from order receipt to fulfillment and delivery confirmation.
1.This includes monitoring daily order flows, resolving order issues, coordinating with warehouse and logistics partners, and ensuring SLAs are met.
2.Inventory and stock management will be another core responsibility. The role involves tracking stock levels, forecasting requirements based on sales trends, coordinating replenishment with manufacturing or suppliers, and preventing stock-outs or overstock situations.
3.Shipping and delivery operations will be handled by working closely with courier and logistics partners. The role includes managing shipping configurations, monitoring delivery performance, handling delays or exceptions, and coordinating returns or replacements where required.
4.The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining operational reports and dashboards related to orders, inventory, fulfillment timelines, and delivery performance.
5.Customer-facing operational issues such as delayed shipments, incorrect orders, or damaged deliveries will be handled in coordination with customer support teams, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should have 25 years of experience in ecommerce operations, category management, order management, or supply chain roles, preferably in D2C, FMCG, or consumer products.
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, order workflows, inventory management processes, and shipping integrations is required. Experience working with platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom ecommerce systems is preferred.
Candidates should have experience coordinating with logistics partners, courier companies, warehouses, or fulfillment centers, and should understand common ecommerce delivery challenges in the Indian market.
