Role Overview
The Ecommerce & Marketplace Operations Intern will support the Category team in the day-to-day management of an assigned category across marketplaces such as Myntra, Ajio, Amazon and Flipkart. This is a hands-on learning opportunity covering pricing and inventory monitoring, catalogue hygiene, and marketplace coordination, with exposure to assortment planning and demand forecasting under the guidance of the Brand Manager and Category Manager.
This is a 3–6 month internship with a strong pathway to a full-time role — candidates who perform well can expect to be offered a full-time position at the end of the internship period.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring pricing and inventory for the assigned category on a daily basis across marketplaces such as Myntra, Ajio, Amazon and Flipkart; help identify fast moving and slow moving styles
- Support coordination and communication with marketplace counterparts on promotions, advertising and account-related issues; get hands-on exposure to seller side applications and dashboards
- Learn and assist with key ecommerce metrics and pricing strategy execution for the category
- Support the creation of inventory requirement forecasts based on current sales trends
- Help check catalogue hygiene for the category to ensure styles are completely catalogued and live across marketplace platforms
- Assist in tracking PLA and PPC campaigns, especially on Amazon, including ad budget monitoring
- Coordinate with sourcing and merchandising teams to support timely launches of new season styles and replenishment of core products
- Help monitor product performance and flag anomalous returns at the product level for quality or fit issues
- Support research into market gaps and demand areas within the category
- Assist in tracking customer ratings and feedback to support product insights
- Support day-to-day coordination with marketplaces to ensure smooth category operations
- Use MS Excel, Claude and other tools to support data analysis, reporting and daily category operations
- Take on additional tasks as reasonably assigned to support learning and category growth
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, including lookup functions and pivot tables
- Strong analytical mindset with an interest in drawing inferences from data
- Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Interest in ecommerce and familiarity with online marketplaces such as Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra and Ajio is a plus
- Basic understanding of performance marketing on Meta/Google or Amazon PPC is a bonus, not required
