Job Description

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to take ownership of our Shopify stores, driving revenue growth through performance marketing alignment, on-site optimisation, and conversion rate improvements.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the full ecommerce funnel — from traffic acquisition through to conversion — and can proactively identify and implement growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Management & Optimisation

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Shopify stores
  • Oversee product uploads, collections, merchandising, and site structure
  • Ensure site is fully optimised across desktop and mobile

2. Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

  • Analyse user behaviour using tools such as heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics
  • Identify drop-off points and implement A/B tests to improve conversion rates
  • Optimise product pages, landing pages, and checkout flows
  • Continuously test offers, bundles, and upsells to improve AOV and CVR

3. Performance & Analytics

  • Track and report on key metrics (CVR, AOV, ROAS, CPA, LTV)
  • Use data to make informed decisions and prioritise improvements
  • Work closely with paid media teams to align landing pages with ad creative

4. Shopify & App Management

  • Manage and implement Shopify apps (upsells, subscriptions, reviews, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot site issues and work with developers where needed
  • Ensure site speed and performance are optimised

5. Customer Journey & UX

  • Improve overall user experience across the site
  • Optimise navigation, filtering, and search functionality
  • Ensure clear messaging, trust signals, and frictionless checkout

6. Campaign & Launch Support

  • Build and optimise landing pages for campaigns and product launches
  • Collaborate with marketing team on promotions and seasonal campaigns

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–5+ years experience managing Shopify stores
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
  • Experience with tools such as:
  • Google Analytics / GA4
  • Hotjar / Microsoft Clarity (or similar)
  • A/B testing tools (e.g. VWO, Convert, Google Optimize alternatives)
  • Proven track record of improving conversion rate and revenue
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and take action
  • Experience working with Shopify apps and integrations
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working alongside paid media teams (Meta, Google, TikTok)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in DTC brands (beauty/fragrance a bonus)
  • Knowledge of email/SMS platforms (e.g. Klaviyo)
  • Experience increasing AOV through upsells, bundles, and offers
  • Familiarity with landing page builders (e.g. Replo, Gempages, Shogun)
