Job Description

Role Summary

The role is responsible for driving online sales growth, optimizing digital storefront performance, and ensuring seamless execution on ecommerce platforms. This role owns end-to-end ecommerce operations including sales planning, platform management, promotions, analytics, and cross-functional coordination to deliver revenue, profitability, and customer experience objectives.

Core Skills

  • Deep understanding of Indian Ecommerce landscape
  • Strategic thinking with ability to visualize long-term growth roadmaps for Indian ecommerce
  • Strong analytical skills (Marketplace dashboards) & business accument (volume growth with profitability)
  • Awareness and understanding of marketplace ad portals, funnel optimisaton (Awareness to Conversion to retention)
  • Understanding of last-mile delivery, regional utilization optimization
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams and marketplace account managers

Role Responsibilities

Sales & Growth

  • Own ecommerce revenue targets, growth plans, and monthly/quarterly forecasts
  • Drive GMV growth through traffic, conversion, and average order value optimization
  • Plan and execute platform-led events, sales days, and campaigns

Platform Management

  • Manage product listings, catalog health, content quality, and availability
  • Coordinate with marketplace account managers and internal teams
  • Ensure platform hygiene including pricing, stock, ratings, and compliance

Merchandising & Promotions

  • Plan promotions, discounts, and bundles aligned with brand and margin goals
  • Optimize product visibility through search, banners, and platform tools
  • Execute seasonal, festive, and new-launch campaigns

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics
  • Identify insights on consumer behavior, funnel drop-offs, and category trends
  • Prepare performance dashboards and management reports

Operations & Execution

  • Work closely with supply chain, finance, marketing, and customer service teams
  • Ensure smooth order fulfillment, returns management, and issue resolution
  • Improve operational efficiency and customer experience

Process & Capability Building

  • Implement best practices, SOPs, and automation where applicable
  • Stay updated on ecommerce trends, platform updates, and digital innovations

Reporting:

  • Daily weekly and monthly report on sales, inventory and return performance with detailed insights
  • Regularize commision invoices of marketplaces, timely financial reconciliation along with business finance and marketplace
