Job Title: Eclipse RCP + EJB Developer

We are looking for an experienced Eclipse RCP Developer to design and build modular desktop applications using the Eclipse Rich Client Platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java, OSGi, and Eclipse plug-in development, along with familiarity in modern DevOps practices and Agile ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using Eclipse RCP and Eclipse plug-in frameworks.
• Strong expertise in EJB applications and ownership
• Work with OSGi framework for modular application development.
• Integrate backend services using Java, REST APIs, and Spring (optional for integration components).
• Write unit and integration tests using JUnit.
• Manage builds and dependencies using Maven or equivalent tools.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Containerize applications (where applicable) with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (nice-to-have).
• Document solutions in Confluence and track progress in Jira.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Eclipse RCP / Eclipse plug-in development.
• Strong expertise in EJB applications.
• Proficiency with OSGi framework and modular application design.
• Hands-on experience with JUnit for automated testing.
• Build management experience using Maven/Tycho.
• CI/CD knowledge with Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to integrating RCP applications with Spring Boot microservices.
• Experience in modern UI frameworks (SWT, JFace, or JavaFX).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for packaging/distribution.
• Experience with Open Liberty and IBM Webspare.
