We are looking for a Head Teacher to create a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will support the holistic development of children and act as a role model for the teaching team, reflecting KLAY values and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Classroom Management:
- Plan, prepare, and implement lesson plans and activities after curriculum team approval.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wastage.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Display age-appropriate learning materials to enhance classroom appeal.
Team Leadership:
- Guide and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, providing constructive feedback.
- Set an example for staff and children in punctuality, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Support colleagues in decision-making and classroom workflow.
Parent Engagement & Communication:
- Maintain regular updates for parents regarding their child's development.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and address concerns proactively.
Events & Activities:
- Plan and execute classroom events, trips, and celebrations as per the calendar.
- Introduce creative and innovative approaches to learning activities.
Individual Responsibilities:
- Maintain calm and composure in all situations.
- Take initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
- Effectively manage time, resources, and classroom challenges.
