JD 2: Early Childhood Educator Reggio Emilia / IB PYP
About the Role
Manabi, a boutique early learning school, is seeking a warm, reflective, and highly creative educator who embodies child-led learning. The ideal teacher is deeply passionate about early childhood education, values inquiry over instruction, and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences. You will work across Nursery, PP1, or PP2 based on staffing needs and contribute to building a nurturing, aesthetically inspiring environment that reflects Manabi's values.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver inquiry-based, child-led learning experiences inspired by Reggio Emilia and aligned with IB PYP early years approaches.
Create beautiful, intentional learning environments that support exploration, independence, and creativity.
Document learning authentically through observations, learning stories, portfolios, and assessments.
Build trusting, respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a strong school community.
Ensure safety, emotional well-being, and predictable routines while maintaining a warm and caring atmosphere.
Collaborate with the teaching team for planning, reflection, and continuous improvement of teaching standards.
Engage in professional development to stay aligned with Manabi's philosophy and evolving early childhood best practices.
Qualifications
12 years of preschool teaching experience (mandatory).
Strong understanding or hands-on experience with Reggio Emilia and/or IB PYP Early Years frameworks.
Fluent in English with excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
Creative, organised, and child-centred, with strong classroom management and an ability to observe, listen, and respond to children's interests.
Passion for aesthetic learning spaces, purposeful play, and reflective teaching practices.
