Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Retention Marketer who can own retention as a revenue channel. This is a high-impact role focused on driving repeat revenue, increasing LTV, and maximizing ROI through data-led lifecycle marketing and automation.
You will be responsible for building and scaling retention systems across WhatsApp, Email, and on-site journeys with a strong focus on performance and measurable outcomes.
Compensation: Up to 6 LPA
Candidates with good calibre shall also be offered ESOP's
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive Retention Revenue Targets (repeat revenue %, LTV growth, cohort performance)
- Design and scale end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy
- Build advanced automation flows:
- Welcome & onboarding journeys
- Abandoned cart & browse abandonment
- Post-purchase upsell & cross-sell
- Win-back & reactivation campaigns
- Deep dive into customer segmentation & cohort analysis
- Launch hyper-personalized campaigns based on behavior, RFM, and purchase cycles
- Optimize WhatsApp marketing as a primary revenue channel
- Manage and scale Email marketing for engagement and revenue
- Drive A/B testing culture across messaging, offers, creatives, and timing
- Collaborate with performance marketing team to improve blended ROAS & CAC:LTV ratio
- Lead loyalty programs, referral systems, and VIP customer journeys
- Work closely with tech/tools team to improve automation efficiency & attribution tracking
- Build dashboards and regularly report on:
- Repeat rate
- LTV
- Revenue per user
- Campaign ROI
Requirements
- 36 years of experience in Retention / CRM / Lifecycle Marketing (D2C or e-commerce preferred)
- Proven track record of driving revenue through retention channels
- Strong hands-on experience with tools like MoEngage, WebEngage, CleverTap, Klaviyo, or similar
- Deep understanding of customer lifecycle, funnels, and attribution
- Experience in WhatsApp automation platforms (e.g., Interakt, WATI, Gupshup, etc.)
- Strong experience in Email marketing platforms & deliverability
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and take action
- Ability to manage and optimize large customer databases
- Basic understanding of SQL / data tools (good to have)
