Role Summary
The E-commerce Lead will drive Bhima Jewellery's online business by managing website operations, digital sales, and marketplace presence. The role focuses on increasing online revenue, improving customer experience for high-value jewellery purchases, and integrating showroom and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-commerce Business Growth
- Own and drive online sales targets for gold, diamond, and silver categories
- Develop strategies for festive campaigns (Akshaya Tritiya, Diwali, wedding season)
- Identify new revenue streams (virtual consultations, online booking, click & collect)
2. Website Management (D2C)
- Manage and optimize Bhima's e-commerce website for premium user experience
- Ensure accurate product catalog (weight, purity, certification, pricing updates)
- Improve mobile-first experience (major share of jewellery buyers)
- Coordinate with developers for performance and security
3. Omni-channel Integration
- Enable online-to-offline journey (reserve online, purchase in-store)
- Integrate showroom inventory visibility online
- Coordinate with showroom teams for order fulfilment and customer follow-ups
4. Marketplace Management
- Manage presence on platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and niche jewellery platforms
- Ensure brand consistency, premium positioning, and pricing control
- Monitor commissions, margins, and platform ROI
5. Digital Marketing & Performance
- Plan and execute campaigns across:
- Google Ads (Search & Shopping)
- Social media (Meta, Instagram)
- YouTube & influencer collaborations
- Focus on high-intent lead generation for jewellery purchases
- Optimize ROAS for high-ticket products
6. Conversion Optimization (Luxury Buying Behaviour)
- Improve trust signals (certification, BIS hallmark, return policies)
- Optimize product pages with high-quality images, videos, and try-on features
- Reduce drop-offs in checkout for high-value transactions
7. Analytics & Insights
- Track KPIs:
- Revenue by category (gold/diamond/silver)
- Conversion rate
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Cost per acquisition (CPA)
- Generate insights on customer buying patterns (wedding, investment, gifting)
8. Inventory & Order Fulfilment
- Work closely with warehouse & showroom teams
- Ensure safe shipping of high-value jewellery
- Manage returns, exchanges, and customer queries efficiently
9. Customer Experience & Trust Building
- Build strong online trust for first-time jewellery buyers
- Improve ratings, reviews, and repeat purchase rate
- Enable customer support for queries on purity, pricing, and delivery
10. Team & Vendor Management
- Lead internal e-commerce team
- Manage agencies (performance marketing, SEO, creatives)
- Collaborate with IT, merchandising, and retail teams
Key Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business / marketing / E-commerce
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 6–10 years in e-commerce, preferably in:
- Jewellery / luxury retail / fashion
- Experience managing high-value product categories
- Strong exposure to omni-channel retail
Skills
- Strong understanding of jewellery buying behaviour
- Expertise in performance marketing & analytics
- Experience with Shopify / Magento or similar platforms
