Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for an E-Commerce Developer at Techeon IT. The E-Commerce Developer will design, develop, and maintain e-commerce websites and web applications, ensuring secure, stable, and scalable online shopping experiences. Daily tasks include implementing new features, integrating payment gateways, optimizing site performance, and ensuring responsive design across devices and browsers. The role involves collaborating with designers, marketers, and other developers to align e-commerce functionality with user experience and business goals. The E-Commerce Developer will also troubleshoot issues, perform code reviews, follow best practices for SEO and security, and contribute to continuous improvement of the e-commerce technology stack.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in E-Commerce platforms and concepts, including product catalog management, shopping carts, payment integrations, and order workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Web Development and Front-End Development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks or libraries.
- Knowledge of Responsive Web Design principles to deliver seamless user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Solid Software Development skills, including version control (e.g., Git), debugging, testing, and adherence to clean coding practices.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies (such as Node.js, PHP, or similar), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API integration is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of performance optimization, SEO best practices for e-commerce, and web security fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in developing or maintaining commercial e-commerce sites or marketplaces is a strong plus.
