Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Splunk Administrator to manage and maintain our Dynatrace and Splunk environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in both platforms, experience with cloud integrations, monitoring and logging best practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Dynatrace and Splunk platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Design, implement, and support Splunk solutions including apps, dashboards, reports, alerts, and data visualizations tailored to user needs.
- Perform data onboarding, field extractions, and search optimizations for new and existing data sources in Splunk.
- Oversee Splunk infrastructure, address performance issues, manage log feed problems, and plan capacity.
- Configure role-based access controls and security measures in Splunk to protect sensitive data and logs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand use cases and deliver Splunk solutions.
- Stay updated on latest Splunk features, methodologies, and industry trends.
- Manage Dynatrace licenses and optimize their usage effectively.
- Implement and manage Dynatrace cloud integrations, including Dynatrace Operator, Dynakube, and related components.
- Configure and maintain Dynatrace Synthetics monitoring setups.
- Set up and manage Dynatrace log monitoring including log processing rules, ingestion rules, log events, and metrics.
- Handle installation, upgrade, and maintenance of Dynatrace ActiveGates and OneAgent.
- Administer Dynatrace identity and access management, creating and controlling organizational policies.
- Configure various Dynatrace extensions and manage logs ingestion from cloud environments.
- Monitor databases using Dynatrace tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Dynatrace and Splunk administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Dynatrace cloud integration including Dynatrace Operator and Dynakube.
- Strong experience with Dynatrace Synthetics and log monitoring configurations.
- Proven skills in designing and managing Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Experience in Splunk data onboarding, field extractions, and search optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk infrastructure management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of data privacy controls in Dynatrace.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace license management and optimization.
- Experience in Dynatrace identity and access management and policy configuration.
- Experience installing and upgrading Dynatrace ActiveGates and OneAgent.
- Strong understanding of cloud log ingestion processes and configuration of various Dynatrace extensions.
- Knowledge of database monitoring via Dynatrace.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
