Job Description

Role: Dynatrace Platform Specialist

Location: India -Remote (Candidate must be open to work in EST hours.)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Dynatrace Platform Specialist to support enterprise Application Performance Monitoring (APM) operations within a managed services environment.

This is a hands-on platform administration and operational support role focused on monitoring, onboarding/offboarding applications, synthetic monitoring, incident triage, alert management, dashboard administration, and execution of approved operational changes within enterprise governance processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong Dynatrace administration experience, solid understanding of observability/APM concepts, and experience operating within enterprise ticket-driven support environments.

Key Responsibilities:

 

24×7 Monitoring & Incident Response-

  • Monitor Dynatrace Problems feed, synthetic monitors, and platform health
  • Triage and stabilize application performance incidents and anomalies
  • Coordinate with application teams and stakeholders during incidents
  • Maintain accurate incident timelines, impact details, and resolution documentation

Application Onboarding & Offboarding-

  • Coordinate onboarding of applications into Dynatrace monitoring
  • Support OneAgent deployment coordination and monitoring validation
  • Configure synthetic monitors, dashboards, tagging, and management zones
  • Offboard retired applications and clean up monitoring configurations
  • Validate monitoring coverage and alert functionality before production sign-off

Platform Configuration & Operations-

  • Execute approved configuration changes including:
  • Alerting profiles
  • Thresholds
  • Maintenance windows
  • Dashboard updates
  • Management zone configurations
  • Support alert tuning and noise reduction activities
  • Maintain operational dashboards and monitoring visibility

Reporting & Documentation-

  • Generate operational reports for incidents, monitoring coverage, and SLA tracking
  • Maintain audit-ready operational documentation and runbooks
  • Support governance and compliance documentation requirements

Required Qualifications:

 

Dynatrace Administration-

  • Hands-on experience administering Dynatrace in enterprise environments
  • Experience monitoring Dynatrace Problems feed and triaging alerts
  • Experience onboarding/offboarding applications into Dynatrace
  • Experience with synthetic monitoring (HTTP/browser monitors)
  • Knowledge of alerting profiles, thresholds, maintenance windows, dashboards, tagging, and management zones

APM & Observability-

Understanding of:

  • Response times
  • Error rates
  • Throughput
  • Service dependency mapping
  • Distributed tracing concepts
  • Experience navigating service, process, and host views within Dynatrace
  • Familiarity with logs and performance triage workflows

Incident & Change Management-

  • Experience working within ITIL/CRQ/CAB change management environments
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM platforms
  • Familiarity with incident lifecycle management and escalation workflows
  • Understanding of Dynatrace integrations with tools such as PagerDuty

Nice to Have:

  • Dynatrace DQL or USQL experience
  • Dynatrace API exposure
  • Python scripting or automation experience
  • Exposure to LogicMonitor, Elastic/ELK, PagerDuty, or other observability tools
  • Dynatrace Associate or Professional certification
